A one-day performative research “12” consists of data collection from guests of a performance. Guests sit down on a chair to pose for sketches of their facial features. I only had a few seconds to memorize a person’s face and its characteristic feature. Then I had to polish and recycle it into its primal individual formal idea, abstracting it to its minimum. Then it was placed on the main roll of 12m fabric with other lines and forms. These elements, transferred to the fabric, were connected with other facial features of the guests, intertwined with one another.
Departing from the direct and strict architectural line to the organic curve (rocaille curve) I approach the face and human body of a person on the chair as a limtless source of natural asymmetry, expressing found lines and forms as a spatial elements on a landscape’s map.
